Wanting to offer the
creative industries a personalised, hands-on and knowledgeable approach to recruitment, Melanie established
The Career Guru in 2005. Melanie believed her real and actual industry experience would add incredible value to the recruitment process by understanding what candidates want from their career and knowing exactly what clients want in their candidates – having been there before.

This approach is now the ‘secret’ formula to the company’s success.

Melanie holds a National Diploma in Public Relations and while her background is predominantly PR, marketing and advertising experience have peppered her career. She has tendered her career in some of the country’s leading PR consultancies, worked at MD level for a full service marketing consultancy and owned a PR agency.

Melanie’s approach is a professional, yet personal one. She enjoys developing long-term relationships with both candidates and clients and for this reason is well sought after as a recruiter of choice in the creative industries.
